The Roccat Vulcan II is a mechanical gaming keyboard with flat keycaps. It is available since July 2023.
Isn’t that the Vulcan II Max?
Sitting in front of the keyboard, you might easily think that you are facing the Roccat Vulcan II Max, at least, until you unpack the wrist rest. But just the plain keyboards look extremely similar to each other.
Vulcan II vs Vulcan II Max
The biggest difference between the two keyboards lies within the switch technology. While Vulcan II Max featured optical switches, the Vulcan II features linear Roccat Titan Red switches. Moreover, the wrist rest got a little bit less exciting, and some small changes were made to the keyboard’s feet. Also, lighting effects have been reduced a bit, but don’t worry, the keyboard still looks gorgeous. Otherwise, both keyboards are basically the same. Both feature those flat keycaps, which people either love or hate. Both feature stunning RGB lighting, a few multimedia controls, n-key-rollover, 1000 Hz polling rate and tons of configuration options via Roccat Swarm software.
Altogether, Roccat made some cuts at the Vulcan II in order to offer it at a cheaper price than the Roccat Vulcan II Max.

"It may be astoundingly big on its RGB flair, but the Roccat Vulcan II keyboard is still hard to recommend to most at this price point. No wireless connectivity or USB hub feels like a step backwards at £150, and the smooth keys, while nice and fast, choose form over function."

"While it’s not the best gaming keyboard in terms of raw capability or value, Roccat’s Vulcan II simply can’t be beaten for giving your desk an RGB light show."

"The Vulcan II is a more budget-friendly version of the prettiest keyboard we’ve seen, with super smooth mechanical linear switches."
