The last two mechanical keyboard models from Logitech (G910 Orion Spark and G810 Orion Spectrum) featured Romer-G Switches, the proprietary switches from Logitech. The both new announced keyboards Logitech G610 Orion Brown and Logitech G610 Orion Red are featuring Cherry MX Switches (like the Logitech G710, the first Logitech keyboard with Cherry MX Switches). Logitech Vice President Ujesh Desai says, that “Keyboard enthusiasts want a variety of options”. With the both new G610 Orion models, customers have the two new options for a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Switches.
The keyboards have a adjustable white LED key backlighting, support macros for the functions keys and several gaming features. The Logitech G610 Orion Brown might be interesting for both, typists and gamers. The Logitech G610 Orion Red clearly targets gamers. Logitech labels both keyboards as mechanical gaming keyboards.
Both keyboards are expected to be available in the U.S. and in Europe in March 2016. The suggested retail price from Logitech is $ 119 for the U.S. and € 139 for Europe.
