The CM Storm QuickFire Rapid is a mechanical keyboard from Cooler Master. The keyboard is very popular in the United States. People like its build quality, the good gaming performance and that fact, that you get good value for your money. The CM Storm QuickFire Rapid has a tenkeyless design, which means, it has no numpad and is a bit smaller than other keyboards.
Cherry MX Switches and Additional Keycaps
The CM Storm QuickFire Rapid is a simple, but solid mechanical keyboard. It features Cherry MX Blue, Cherry MX Brown, Cherry MX Black and Cherry MX Red. The availability of the switches depends on the region – not all switch types are available in all regions.
Two neat extras of the CM Storm QuickFire Rapid are the additional keycaps and the included keycap puller. There are 4 red keycaps in form of an up, down, left and right (e.g. to replace the WASD keycaps) and two CM keycaps.
QuickFire Rapid: A Compact Keyboard with Performance
The mechanical keyboard from Cooler Master is clearly suitable for gaming. Per default, the QuickFire Rapid features 6 key rollover. If you connect it via the included PS/2 adapter though, you get a keyboard with full NKRO. The dedicated gaming mode ensures that you can play without disturbance and disables the windows key.
The QuickFire Rapid has no separate media or macro keys, but there are some media controls integrated into the functions keys F5 to F12.
