The Alloy FPS RGB is a mechanical keyboard from HyperX, the gaming division of Kingston.
Gaming Keyboard with Kailh Silver Speed Switches
The keyboard was revealed in September 2018 and it offers many features valued by gamers. The Alloy FPS RGB has full n-key rollover, offers flexible RGB lighting and has space to store up to three different profile configurations on-board. It comes with a detachable cable of 5.9 ft (1.80 m) length and it has an additional USB port that can be used to charge a phone or another device. It really can only be used for charging though, so it’s not a fully-featured USB passthrough.
While its predecessor Alloy FPS Pro featured Cherry MX switches, the Alloy FPS RGB comes with Kailh Silver Speed switches. Those linear switches have a rather short actuation distance and require less force than Cherry MX Red.
