The Razer Huntsman Mini Analog is a 60% mechanical gaming keyboard. It was announced in 2022 and it is Razer’s first upgrade of the Huntsman Mini.
Analog Optical Switches
The most important update from its predecessor can be found right in the keyboard’s name – the Razer Huntsman Mini Analog features analog optical switches. Optical means that keys are actuated via light signal. That is actually is the case for all keyboards of the Huntsman series, but with its new analog capabilities, the keyboard is now able to tell how far down a key is pressed. This enables analog inputs similar to what you know from analog joysticks. In racing games, you could for example move your vehicle only a tiny bit by just tapping the key lightly or steer it strongly in a direction by pressing the key all the way down. Also, games of other genres like third-person adventure, shooter or simulation can strongly profit from analog inputs.
A Powerful 60% Gaming Keyboard
The Razer Huntsman Mini Analog is a small keyboard featuring a 60% form factor. In other words, you will not find numpad, navigation or arrow keys on the keyboard. You do not have to completely pass on the functions of the omitted keys, they are still available as secondary functions activated via fn key. The keyboard’s durable doubleshot PBT keycaps protect from having the labelling wear off. Moreover, they have the secondary functions side-printed, so you can easily spot how to activate them. Of course, the Huntsman Mini Analog is also attached to Razer’s Chroma RGB ecosystem. You thus have wide in-game support and countless illumination options to choose from. Moreover, there is on-board storage for up to five profiles. This enables you to configure the keyboard once and take your configuration anywhere you want. For easier setup and storage, the included USB Type-C cable is detachable.
